Women of Worth
Women of Worth (or W.O.W.) is the Women’s Ministry at First Christian Church. We seek to help the women of FCC develop a deeper relationship with God and with each other through study, service and fellowship. As women connect within the church, it allows us to experience God’s love on a more personal level as we support each other.
Ladies today are pulled in so many directions that it is hard to discover who we really are and what our role in the plan of God really is. We are so overwhelmed that we begin to feel unable to fulfill the obligations of this life and we doubt if we truly have any worth. Because of Jesus we have great worth. Not only does He love us beyond measure, but He put that Love into action so that we could have a deep and eternal relationship with Him. When we grow in Christ, the natural overflow can and will be seen in who we are and what we do.
Ladies, look for “W.O.W. Moments” in each edition of the 3D Focus newsletter which will have upcoming Ladies events, ministry and study opportunities and more. If you would like to be an active part of the Ladies ministry please contact Maria Phillips at Mtcrphil@aol.com

Education & Growth
First Christian Church is committed to helping people become mature followers of Jesus Christ. One great way to accomplish this is through Bible study in small groups. We have several options for women of all ages interested in drawing closer to God and also developing relationships with other women. Some of these groups meet at the church and others meet in homes.
Mary and Martha group is a multi-generational group that meets monthly to have prayer, devotion and activities relating to our homes and families. Kindred Spirits is a group of mothers who meet to support each others as moms and grow in our walk with the Lord.
During Wednesday Night Life, which is our church-wide Wednesday evening activities, we have ladies bible studies addressing topics of interest to women.
Periodically through the year, W.O.W. hosts book clubs to discuss books on a number of different topics.
Service
How would the church function without women? We support many activities throughout the church.
We help organize communion for each Sunday morning. We are always looking for willing volunteers. It requires about 1 hour to prepare communion on Saturdays. The schedule rotates so the time requirement for this is pretty easy.
Women’s ministry also coordinates decorating the foyer and sanctuary or the church. If you have a flare for decorating and would like to help, please contact one of the W.O.W. leaders for more information.
This year we will be reviving a ministry called Helping Hands. This is an opportunity to help people who are just coming home from the hospital due to illness or birth of a child by preparing and delivering a meal to their home.
